I am an illustrator and comics maker with a love of ink and brush, the real and the surreal. Storyboards and comics for service design are a specialty. Clients include Anglicare, Austal Ships, the Imperial War Museums in the UK, and the Department of Conservation, New Zealand. I keep the text to a minimum on this site, so please get in touch if you would like any of the works here explained fully in order to see how I might help your venture. If you would like to commission any illustration or comics or have any questions please get in touch via the email link below.
I was the editor of, and a contributor to, [sic] BAG Comics, now in the collection of the Australian National Library. I was a comics-artist-in-residence at the Maison des Auteurs, Angoulême, France, in 2013/14.
I am the art director and illustrator for the Hidden Shoal music label. A critically acclaimed stable of international artists, Hidden Shoal also licenses music for TV, Film and games.
I am the author of The Picture in Design, which seeks to explain the communicative potential of the drawn image to art directors and designers. I teach illustration in Australia and run comics workshops internationally.
I look forward to hearing from you!
